Today's pic is from camp JM on Brent (same as yesterday), just different perspective.  This one looking north.  The bay extending to the left leads to the Conmee portage.
I think that reindeer moss is pretty cool.  Can't image how long it takes to grow a bed like that.  Likewise Tom, I avoid walking on it.  Perhaps with some creamy Italian dressing it would make a nice side . . .
It looks like the pics are coming in chronological order.  The Darky lake cliff should be featured later next week.
Here is a pic of that cliff from Kingfisher's collection.  Jimbo and QP trolling around down below (bottom left).  I can't believe I climbed that hill wearing sandals.

Darky lake pictographs.  Not sure about the origin on this one.  Looks like a photoshop job, although pretty good one at that.  Sacrilege to me!

Bill,

I remember staring UP at you & hoping you might attempt a "full gainer flip" but you never obliged.

That second photo - the sacrilegious one - um... it's almost certainly photo-shopped.  One would have to offer up the tobacco smoke of a massive spirit-approved stogie to get away with something like that.  Otherwise, surely, lightning bolts would strike at him from above and pollyhumpers would snap at him from below!  Wolves & moose would begin sleeping together!  Never again would fresh-water fish bite on his lures!  No one would dare bring on such anarchy.

Hmmm... I've long wondered why QPassage/Bo left the QJ community to start a "salt-water" fishing lure company (Bo-Tie Jigs).

Jimbo,

Not only sacreligious, but downright shameless. Everyone around here knows that you have cornered the market on the use of the color pink as an identifier. In fact, everytime I see pink anywhere, it brings a smile as I’m reminded of you.

Now Merman comes along and thoughly abuses the color pink...
What is this world coming to? Cheesy

Observant QJ'ers might recognize the stern paddler in the Apr 8th POD is our friend Old Salt.  You can see is canoe is fully loaded.  However that is only his fishing tackle.  His camping gear has been unloaded and he and Johnny are paddling out for a typical day of fishing!

Todays pic is too much snoring for me. I was in this situation one time and that's when I ordered my hammock.  Grin

TomT -

You must have some sort of Crystal Ball/Time Machine!  I was THERE - IN my hammock tent - at the FAR side of the campsite (heck, I might even have been on a nearby island, depending upon which lake this is) and the sonic blasts were enough to get me swinging in the wind!

DEFINITELY a case to be made here for hammock-tenting!

Yep, I'm a light sleeper. No can do. That plus the flatulence factor got me out of tent sharing with dudes.

Well, to that I can say this much, at least... in this particular case, the wind was coming from the one end but not so much the other, as far as I could tell!
