Where do you think that picture was taken? I can't place it but there are so many places I haven't traveled in the Q.

Today's photo was taken along the north shore of Quetico Lake, above Eden island.  We had a South wind blowing all the pollen to that end of the lake that day.

I hate that Spring Pollen on the water. It can play havoc with your fishing line. Hard to remove too.

Today's looks like either Antoine or Tuck, at least those are my guesses.

I'm guessing this is a Native People's camp/fishing guides basecamp. They can trap in winter per treaty provisions.

I've run into NP groups camping a few times in the Q and the ones I came across don't camp "green" like you might think they would.

I'd wager there are nails in many of the trees in that picture to hang items from too. It's their land and they can literally do as they please.

Is today’s pic the “whale rock“ on Pickerel Lake just east of Emerald Island and somewhat southwest of Lookout island?

I suppose there are quite a number of similar looking rocks out there.  On second viewing, this one is sitting a little too close to the shoreline in the background to be that particular rock.

Jimbo   Cool
