We're out of PODs btw folks. Wink

db,
Is there a "best method" these days for getting a pack of PODs to you these days?

Thanks.

Tom

I've found for me personally putting the PODS in a
Zip File then attaching it to an E-Mail works great.

That's what the vet said when I showed him and asked what he thought.

Today's POD brought back some memories of when I tripped with 3 other guys. Did the same thing in Maine but ended up piling into some hidden rocks in the middle of the lake.

If the canoes hadn't been Royalex, our trip would have ended right there. Shocked Cry Grin

Yeah, good to have the Alumacraft for the college kids for that & other reasons too.  This is our third sailboat in Quetico.
First was just for fun and the kids (younger back then - 2005!) loved it.
2nd was at the west end of Quetico Lake, intending to sail the length -- and the wind shifted to easterly just as it was finished!
This one was quite successful.  We got a nice 8 km sail from northwest of Emerald Island to the Pickerel dam, then most of the way to French later in the trip (had to rebuild it after doing Olifaunt loop).

For what it is worth, the use of a sail is contrary to the regulations for Quetico Park.  Personally, I think sails are dangerous.  I have sailed many boats over the years including some wind surfing.

We had great fun rafting up 4 canoes on the Allagash a few years back with a tarp sail and had a helluva wake behind us.  This year on Brent, the wind was westerly and we rigged a sail on our lunch break.  The wind promptly changed direction, to our disadvantage as soon as we got back on the water - bit of wasted time after all the effort.   Tongue

Nice spider shot!  I love watching and photographing those big spiders!

Yikes, that's freaky-looking!
