Yesterday and today....before and after?

I'll have to send in the moose we saw between Agnes and Louisa in the creek two weeks ago, for a POD.  Must've fell through the ice this winter and expired.  The 10-12 inches above the water line were picked clean to the bone, everything below was still whole moose.

A few years back, I did that 4 times in a single trip to WCPP.  I call it my "4 over 40" trip and it was on the Bloodvein River system between Mary's Lake and Larus ... and yes ... I was in a solo canoe.  The largest was 43" and had a huge girth.  I thought several times ... "I'm going to need a bigger boat!"  As I landed one of these, I noticed another (larger one ... at least 45") lurking underneath and I recall telling myself, "Please God.  Don't let the larger one latch on to the one I've got!"

Last year my brother was targeting those things.  I try to avoid them.  He landed one in the high 40's probably 48-49.  He musky fishes a lot and has a pretty good handle on size.  I have a great video of it splashing him during the fray.
