	Okay, no more beating around the BRUSH so to speak! Am I the only one that wants to know what that WHITE round object is on the right side of the pic. I know what it looks like, but I never saw anyone haul one on a canoe trip so I have to think its something else altogether.

	Yeah that's my hat and the square thing is my camera case if that helps. We were windbound for three days in a row so we killed the third day on a long hike to a high cliff. It was worth the time but pretty much the whole way was pick up sticks like that. That kid was a trooper. He never uttered a discouraging word the entire 9(?) day mostly crappy weather trip. He was a pretty good paddler too.

	Hmmm....and I thought it was the suction cup on the bottom of the tree holding it to the rock it was growing on the side of until the wind blew it off....

	I see these all the time on portages. I wish you could take them like you do fish in the Q. I have a great way to cook one whole on the campfire.
