Today's POD is very nice.
A long paddle on a flat sea with gorgeous weather is great for just taking in the scenery and enjoying the moment.

Day's like this make those rough one's more tolerable.

This is a fine pic of the red squirrel.  I'm always happy to have one in camp especially on a solo.  They are just fun to watch.  In September they will hop around the pines and drop cones.  My tarp got bombed at one point. 

But the best is when they chase each other.  It's so funny but Luna, my border collie will just sit and watch this. The only time I've ever seen her go after wildlife is in our back yard.

Looks like it might be the arched ends of a canoe to the right of the prominent island in the distance.

Cool pic!  I took the exact kind of shot in 2009 with both me and my sons feet at the foot with the setting sun coming through the tent fabric. It's an interesting perspective we all see all the time but rarely gets captured in a pic.
