One of the teens neglected to fully tighten the cap of the Jif jar. I was astounded watching this little rodent actually unscrew the cap, take a lick of the peanut butter, push it off the countertop and then start dragging the jar to its lair in the nearby bushes. The little bastard!! Anyway, we wrestled the jar away from him and went about our daily business. When we eventually loaded up to move to Upper Pauness, we noticed the Jif jar was MIA....seems the little guy snuck it out of camp at some point. Never did find it. I consider this episode the first salvo in a continuing 13-year-old war with these clever, vicious, and sick criminal enemies!!

	Most of it is hate mail and something about newly-designated "latrines" they have set up at someone's red pine firewood stashes throughout the park. Jimbo

My best guess is it was either getting to north Burntside via Rouge, or perhaps leaving Burntside thru the southeastern bay of Jean. Hope it's one of these lakes or my photos got all mixed up in my files.... Anyone recall seeing this erratic and where it actually is?

	I'd say the island in the north end facing the portage to Jean. There is usually a Gull sitting on it though so I can't be absolutely positive. (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links)

	Yup. That's it, db. And matches my dates as my photo was taken on July 3 when we departed Burntside heading to Jean. I think that erratic is on the northeast corner of the island. The earlier photo of the campsite was located on the southwest side of the island....
