Today's POD taken on July 3, 2009.  Campsite YP in North Bay looking west at dusk.  That afternoon was quite windy from the west but began to die out around 7:30pm.  We went out fishing on the shoreline just to the southwest and my son had perhaps his best hour of smallie fishing....ever.  Tossing a spinnerbait to the shoreline, Ben reeled in 18-20 inch smallies, one after the other on just about every cast...nothing smaller than 18 inches.  I played motor from the stern watching in amazement.  Returned to camp and before our campfire, I was able to take this really nice photo.

Oh, and just so ya know, back in those days, I actually was up on most layover days at sunrise stalking smallies with my stove and coffee mug between my legs in the canoe....

Yesterday's POD - Standing dead 4 inch red pine..... This scene must have had you excited Pine Knot eh? 

Ugh.... you're right.  I would have never guessed that you would shame yourself with a pic of such inferior wood.
