Great shot db, but to be perfectly honest, the FIRST thing I thought is that this is a pic of MRS db hair and the joke is on us!  Wink Grin Grin

This is an exquisite shot.  So, how do you tell if it's morning or evening?  I think I know the answer but don't want to give it away.   Wink  I'm gonna say this is a dusk shot.

  A very calm/serene setting.
A perfect start or ending to a canoe country day.

Beautiful picture
The water surface looks a bit broken on the far shoreline so if the wind is out of the west (most likely) then this is dusk with the sun setting in the west. Or not.  Wink

Good theory- however if the wind is very light out of the west it stirs the eastern water, not the west- the western shore being the lee shore.
