I think the way to guarantee that Jimbo and MPeebles stay warm when they trip together is going this route. It is practical and will also lighten the gear load. They could even share a book together and make fun of Magicpaddler freezing his butt off while they stay toasty warm.  Wink

Hey, I'm a "brand loyal" guy when it comes to hammocks.  My choice would be this: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) , albeit with Mike and some other person in it (versus ME)... preferably his spouse!

It's a great example of "crossover marketing."  They used to sell primarily to the Bagpipers Association of the USA.  They just had to tone down their color schemes a little.

Dang Jimbo, that hammock is serious gear.  My issue is snoring, and any movement would be felt by the other person.  But getting this for solo travel with limited portaging is very enticing.  And no, don't suggest to me that Luna would like it too!  Dogs stay as a ground dweller.  Cool

Finally made it back from WI on my 'caNOcopia' trip.....made it past Madtown after Rutabaga opened back up on Friday, but d/n have time to stop in on my way to a VERY empty MKE - not a single person in the TSA line when I went through.  Kinda eerie.  Just catching up on the threads here....in no particular order (except my questionable memory.)

ST - MP HAS a rain skirt much like that one - you may have to pay up! Unfortunately I don't have a pic.

TomT - you're just sick.  (re: Mike and Jimbo spoonin').  Just sayin'....

Jimbo - That was chaga (not Chaga….no offence PAJeff…) on the outside of the birch tree.

RE - the pine stalactite and stalagmite photo - very cool! I can see PK now, trying bust 'em loose to toss on the fire!  (He's not nearly as picky with his pine knots as he is with the firewood.)

I did get to stop by mpeebles and visit as I was blowing past Fondulac.  What a gracious host Mike!  It was great to stop and visit and the venison jerky was awesome - finished eatin' on it Saturday.  I did get to see his new 'canoe' - aka 'the bike'.  Have a great peddle Mike! (note that's just one vowel off of  paddle!)

pd

PS - and Mossback, thx for thinking of me! (copia cancelled thread) I did get to spend a great week in WI with family.

Heard a good one tonight on Canada Public Radio.   They were talking about social distancing and someone said that they were going "shack wacky"  Cheesy   That may become a common affliction in northern WI shortly!  Anyway, I thought it was cute Smiley

That's another place I'd take some time and sit a spell.  Better yet, shore lunch!
