Which campsite was that? It looks like a state park site!

IIRC, that would be at the top of North Bay on Basswood, one point east of the lead into Isabella Creek, south facing, noting the later afternoon sun coming in from the west.

After having checked my photo archive, that is exactly where it is.  Not a bad site at all.  And RE: Jimbo's note above, I noted the extremely clean look too.  That is not my photo, but I do have some that place Jimbo in that chair in front of my tent.

HighnDry,

That's a good question.  My response: I'm not sure.

I'm going to guess it was taken at our very first camp at the northern end of North Bay (in the vicinity of #563).  That's probably wrong but the main reason I'm saying that is that our clothes look reasonably "clean" yet.  Obviously I didn't actually take that pic.  I suspect that TomT is probably the guilty party, though I suppose it's possible it could belong to either PortageDog or Wally13.  If it was mine, I could simply place it from where it is sequenced in my file in relation to the camps that I recognize. OR, I could place it by a "pic date" that correlates to what I wrote in my log that day (which is what you see me recording to in the POD).

Maybe one of the other party participants can better place the location?

PD is right, that was our first set up on North Bay.  Perfect for a large group.  Steaks and brownies, boys!  Grin And a little wine too...  Maybe some drunk star gazing etc.  Smiley

I think I stopped there for a lunch break on my way into Conmee one year. It looked familiar. I like the small table set up there! However, I certainly need to acquire LESS these days and not MORE to carry  Grin Grin

Jimbo trips with either really small people or really big tents.

Geez Solus, you're right! That tent, and I don't remember it at all, dwarfs me in that picture!

A word about today's POD.

Some of those big lakes and marshes up in Opasquia can be rather confusing, especially when you're trying to find your way back to camp at dusk.  DentonDoc and I insisted that MagicPaddler stand on the rocks in front of our site whenever he made it back to camp before we did.  We would then reward him with a cookie or something for his good deed done.

The arrangement worked well and, as you can see, he was well-"suited" for the job.
