I noticed the same thing when I checked the Kelly Kettle website then Amazon. You would think Kelly would make a point of letting that be known?

I've dented a few pots before dropping packs on rocks. Might not matter on a Stainless Kelly kettle but I had an old stainless 2 qt cook pot that I damaged but didn't dent. It got out of round and the lid wouldn't fit right. It took a little work to get it back in the round again.

Now I keep my cookware on the TOP of my Granite Gear food pack and wrap it in a few camp towels.
As long as I don't use the pack as a stool they're good to go.  Wink Grin

The blue thing at my feet is a Sea to Summit collapsable bucket.

For what it's worth, in today's POD from left to right, here is "Murderers' Row": MagicPaddler, TomT, PineKnot, PortageDog (standing), Jimbo (seated), Wally13, and Solus.

See TomT's QJ trip report, "Six Guys & a Dog," for background information.

Today's POD brought a smile to my face.   I think it tells a nice story.  Thanks.

Nice pic.
I'm prejudiced about facial hair having had either a mustache/beard/goatee since I was 21 fresh out of the Army, but I think MP looks good in his beard. Fits his rugged outdoor persona to a T.  Cool

Makes that underwear headpiece of his look pretty fashionable, doesn't it?!

Think MP will use the same hat this year or make a fresh one? As for me I got that black hat at copia last year and think I’ll use it and long as I don’t lose it. It’s waxed canvas by Frost River with a black decal on the front. Perfecto.

Hey MP, about your cap - it might be a nice touch to embroider something on the front of it.  That way it would be easier to put on correctly.  I remember Jimbo coming up with a name for the fictitious company that would produce these but I have forgotten what that is.  Maybe just an MP on it in your favorite color?  There's companies that will do this for you.

Now. having said all that I know you just scoffed at this suggestion.  Am I correct?  Grin

I have a cap just like that I wear at night when the weather is chilly. I like that look.  Smiley
