Pretty skinny water.

That's the start of a portage if memory serves. Water level was low at takeout. Had to throw packs on big rocks on the left while canoe was in waist deep water.

I hate when that happens.  Wink Grin

I figured if I let it lick the fry bread pan clean it would leave my DIY food barrels alone.  Wink Wink Grin Grin

Seem to work this time, but now he/she has a taste for baked goods.  Grin

I made a nice chocolate cake once.  We had to protect it from our friend, little red squirrel.  I'm sure he/she enjoyed crumbs, but we tried to eat it neatly.   Grin

Not the same red squirrel that chewed holes in my pack, though.

With all do respect, I'm doing reruns at least 'till the end of the month.

Fun to see that picture again.  Woke up to a group trooping past my door not long after sunrise.  Usually don't camp in the trail but it was hard to find any flat spot on that hill as dusk was descending  Sad

There's a campsite next to a sometimes swift stream I know that gets some traffic; one or both ways depending...

Howdy howdy howdy! Excuse me, pardon me, don't mean to interrupt... but... just passing through....

I remember the first time I camped on a portage in WCPP (got late) and was thinking about where to set up so I wouldn't be in the way then getting up early and leaving just in case someone else came through.  I no longer think such thoughts.

Stay safe.......
