So where is that pretty beach?  It looks familiar to me (but then, a beach is a beach, right?)

The north beach of Site 150, west of Fish Stake Narrows on LLC.  There is also a south beach on the other side of the narrow strand where the campsite sits.  The south beach is more characterized by smooth pebbles and stones than by sand.  Depending upon wind and waves, we would launch our canoes from either side.  Swimming was mostly a north beach activity.

Of course our north beach selection for swimming could have been slightly influenced by the presence of a HUGE snapping turtle on the south beach side. Shocked

Jimbo, regarding your professions with Walley13 on yon beach - yeah, you guys were 'lit'.  Despite the absence of said noble beverage, apparently there was no want for a most agreeable facsimile.  Cool

Ya gotta know these characters....they're equal-opportunity libators.  In other words, whatever you bring, they'll surely help make your portage weight go down....  Cheesy Wink

Um.  This was a no portage trip on LLC.  We were packed heavy.  And I should say the extra weight was not a function of tents, tarps, food and such.  Freeboard was minimal at the beginning of our trip, but we made sure our weight was reduced somewhat before facing the challenges of big water.

I also later noticed that Jimbo had a siphon tube that ran from his hammock to his whiskey jug.  Sweet slumbers!

Today's POD is of the "south beach" on Site#150 on LLC, facing Lady Boot Bay.  Our walleye chariot is saddled, armed & ready for war.

Now please confirm your well-equipped chariot allowed you to use your prowress to slay the walleye lurking between those islands just south of your beach landing.....  Wink

And, returning to the very same beach, later that morning....

See attached pic, ye of little faith, cigar breath, and many pine splinters (ie. "read'em & weep").

Jimbo   Cool

P.S.  By the way, the better walleye fishing was to the north, bass-boy.

Be nice, young man.  Never doubted your skillfulness.  North is also better for big pike and trophy smallies....
