	I rate a good hammock a must-have for me even if I have a checkered history with them. I still have my original hammock with the built in bug net. There are lighter options now but other than a few little holes in the netting, it's like brand new. Strung close to the water with a good view and some sun-shade, it's a great place for a afternoon siesta when your wind-bound or just need a little re-charge.

	Today's POD is at a spot where the sign (over Jimbo's shoulder) marks the down stream end of the portage around the Vermillion River rapids, a short distance from Vermillion Falls. What I’m proudly displaying is a foot or so off the end of someone’s rod tip. I guess the big one got away? dd

	Somehow I suspect that "a big one" was not the case. Perhaps stepping on it, trying to put it under a seat, running into some branches on the shore line....the list goes on. However, I'm greatly relieved that it wasn't a rectal thermometer
