Today's POD taken July 14, 2008 in Snow Bay of LLC.  It was titled, "Can you see it?"

Not sure what it is, plants growing out of rock, something in the water?  My son steals my camera at times and shoots many shots of seemingly innocuous sightings....some can be quite intriguing....   Smiley

Oddly enough, now that you mention it, it works for me. I actually liked it better than "Man Holding Fish" from the other day. (That was a b-big-ass fish though.)

Here's my suggestion. Let's label today's POD "A Cacophony of Textural Delights" and demand a reshoot!

That's a neat photo....bush and water.    Funny how everyone sees something different.  That's a good thing I should think.

Thx, Spartan2.  This photo was one of many on July 15, 2008 on Upper Pauness.  On this evening, this busy guy would chew/grab wood to the left of our campsite, then swim it across the front of our campsite to the right and around a small point, then return to get more wood.  This went on for almost 2 hours....he knew we were watching and taking photos but he didn't seem to mind at all....  Smiley

PK.

Nice one PK.  I imagine you crawling around on knees and elbows stalking that little guy.  Probably made yourself a Ghillie suit out of branches too.   Grin

That's a shot to be proud of alright. The thing I like best is it doesn't have that expected long telephoto feel to it and yet that beaver looks as happy as can be.

Pics similar to today's POD surely could have been taken at a dozen different camps in the BWCA and Quetico.  For me, it brings back distinct and fond memories of a site I shared with three other QJer's and a dog on Burntside Lake a few years back.  You can't beat a heat-reflecting rock wall on a cool, starry night in September!

Good pic, PK!  Keep them coming!
