Ya know, when you look at the POD, you may be right, db.  Usually, I have trouble getting photos to show the vertical inclines of a portage....but this one sorta does.  It's closer to the end nearing Kahs than McNeice.  The pack is my "small" Kitchen pack that I used to carry with the canoe.  Anyway, when I came to the incline, I decided to take off the pack, walk it up the slope about 20 yards(?), snap the photo, and then go get the canoe.  I had so much crap tied into the canoe, I got halfway up and then had to use one hand on the rock and one hand to balance the canoe...literally went several yards on my knees....sheesh!!  No wonder the dang portage got burned to smithereens...  Cheesy Grin Grin

Close.  Yesterday's was from southernmost campsite on McIntyre and today's was from midlake campsite on Robinson.....
