	The "Death March Portage" is aptly named as matters stand right about now. It's heartbreaking to think about that beautiful Ted, Suzanette, Brent, Marj, Burt area charred up and smoking. I guess it's the way of renewal up north. Some of my favorite WCPP spots are in even worse shape. Better days are coming.... Jimbo

On the west side near a small bay. The bay/landing is deep and as soon as the sun went down, you could catch a Waldo from shore on just about every cast.

	Today's POD is at a nice campsite just east across the bay from Eden Island. Up about a 1/4 mile from that 4 star overused point campsite. Good landing and a nice elevated firepit and room for multiple tents if needed.

As I scanned ahead for her campsite, I saw the Pink Flamingo waving in the breeze. IC also had a brightly colored tarp she made over the firepit area. 	The Chippie. Dreaded cousin and relation to the much-maligned, dastardly miscreant: the red squirrel. Nicknamed "you little t*rd" by the famed Red Squirrel Slayer himself. Pineknot. There has to be a knighthood in it for him somewhere, PineKnot, not the squirrel, especially if the former does battle with the latter on the Canadian-side. It's a cross-border war. There can be only one.
