This old photo brought tears to Grandma's eyes.  It was her second trip to the canoe country with us.  She is a young woman now, and in three weeks we will be leaving again for our annual "cabin week" on the Gunflint.  She recently turned 19, has just completed her second year of college, and she still loves to go with us.  What a blessing!

But those days at the beginning of watching her discover everything with young eyes, the excitement and wonder of it all--they were very precious times, indeed.
