Reminds me of the blueberry pie we picked up last week at the Rustic Inn in downtown Castle Danger. Cool

ST,

Your suit ain't gonna help all that much versus those choppers!

Had THREE like that cruising the rocky shoreline at a camp on Cirrus that I shared with DD a few years back.  Any swimming was done over at the sandy beach way across the bay... and even over there, in shallow water, I stayed hyper-alert!

Nice spider web shot, ST!

It makes me mindful of one of the more magical moments I've experienced in Quetico involving thousands of such webs.

My wife and I broke camp on Kasakokwog Lake early one morning in mid-September of 2011. Our easterly route took us through McAlpine Creek.  Entering the narrowing passageway had a Disney-like feel to it; we were seemingly transported into another world.  The entire southern shoreline was a grassy meadow decorated in silk webs glistening with morning dew, catching more and more sunlight as we paddled east and as rays slowly emerged above and through the tree line.

We'll never forget that passage.  It had an ethereal feel to it.  The pictures we captured simply don't do the scene justice.

Thanks for queuing up a wonderful memory, ST!

I'm not 100% sure but I think that pic was taken in Alpine Creek! I know I had my camera in hand hoping to see a Moose. I just saw that web and it looked so perfect I had to take the pic.

Double Loon Spinner Spring Frog.
  These are great lures.

Looks like they are out of business  Sad

Double Loons were heavy for their size.
  These are probably similar?
