Now that I don't hang my food pack anymore, I don't miss it at all. Just one less thing to do after a long day.
When I looked for a campsite I always looked to see if there were suitable trees in/close to campsite.
Now I look for a decent landing and a little flat spot to hang my Dry-Fly.

I think that is Olifaunt Lk. I see a reflection, I take the shot.  Wink Grin
I believe it's the East shoreline.
Those dead calm day's are bad when the bugs are out but make for great shots like that.

Today's pic is on that island site on Bentpine Lk.
Logging chain around that tree. Has a resident big snapping turtle.

Found the feet of 5-6 Beavers further on up. Looks like the remnants of someone trapping them?

Another fine reflection shot today.

I feel like I've camped at this spot... more than once.  Probably not.  The very best PODs - for me - are the ones which have a way of conjuring up indelible impressions of "composite" memory.  Good stuff, and it keeps you going through Winter (even down here in the Florida swamps where hard water season never arrives).

Later,

Jimbo  Cool

I feel the same-way about camp spots in other's PODS. They look so familiar but ?
