I have these in both the low cut for summer wear and the mid for canoe trips/hiking around home.

I bought both on sale for half the price. They have sales all the time but you can't wait on them because they go fast.

I figure if there tough enough for the Navy Seals, they'll handle some portages. Light with good traction.

I buy a lot of military surplus or new military gear.
What a lot of people don't know is for a item to be used by the military it has to pass much higher standards than civilian items do production/quality wise.

Get on their mailing list and when a sale hits you can get something before they run out.
