Portage Description:
Travel between Trout and Little Trout is easy -- this is a short creek, which narrows to about 6 ft wide, but it usually clear of beaver dams. There is another overland portage from the North Arm of Trout Lake into the north end of Little Trout. Take the creek unless you're camped in the North Arm. The portage has two easy climbs, with one slightly boggy area between.

Lake after portage: Little Trout

Lake Description:

Fairly shallow (20-30 ft) lake, with two good fishing areas: Extreme south end at the creek from Trout Lake, and the reef just south of the island at the north end.
