Bill--That sounds like a great trip! However, I don't know if it would fit into our 5 day, 4 night trip. I'd really appreciate it if you could give me a day by day account (from what you remember) of the lakes and portages you went through, so as to give me a better idea of how my group would fare. We're all quite experienced canoers. Also, do you know where I'd be able to look at a map that includes this route (like on the internet somewhere), without having to actually purchase the maps, since I'm not totally sure about this yet?
