Don't neglect fishing the "channel" - you can't miss it, you have to paddle through it to get to the east end of Carp.
Remember, American leeches are illegal in Quetico now, but crawlers in sphagnum moss are OK. Take a small cooler or worm locker to keep them from melting in the sun.
Slip bobber rigs work quite nicely rather than losing terminal tackle in the rocks/weeds.
Tube jigs have produced some walleye for me as well - crawfish colors or minnow colors (salt added baits - Zoom, etc.) are my favorites. But, I usually bass fish until I get bored, so don't consider me a walleye expert.
Ed's posts about walleyes are the pattern I found also - find the smallmouth, then move 2-5 feet deeper.
Running water (try the outlet of Sheridan) seems to attract walleye also. My best walleye days were at the bottom of Silver falls and in the fast water at the third falls in the Falls chain.
