I am thinking of going on a solo trip to the BWCA this May.
It will be for 5 days, maybe less. I am going the full outfit route complete with solo canoe. Most likely I will go
in somewhere in the Seagull/Saganaga area. Going solo has
its perils, I have often thought that some kind of combined
solo trip would be ideal. The two people would canoe and portage pretty much together, camp on the same lake but on
different campsites. Ideally, this would be in an area that
has more campsites than the usage at that time, so that two
persons wouldn't hog all the available campsites.
