I agree with Dean 100%. I brought 3 sets of 8 AA batteries for 17 days in the Quetico last May. I ran the unit 4-6 hours per day and I never broke into the second set.

I actually used mine this morning to help catch some early season Minnesota bluegills. The water wasn't warm enough for them to be in the shallows, but with it I found them in relation to a sunken point. Using ice fishing jigs and waxies, under a tiny float, I caught one on nearly every cast.

I use a FL8 for ice fishing and a Garmin 240 in my Lund. But I think the LC-10 is my favorite
