Never used one, but am recalling a thread where there was a lot of discusion on the subject. People liked the 5 gallon Sun Shower better than the 2 gallon because it was easier (faster) to fill. Also, someone said they liked to fill the 5 gallon one to use as a counterweight in the front if they went solo fishing/paddling in a tandem canoe.

I am considering taking one this year since my early June trip is a little chilly for swimming, and I don't know if I can stand myself for 8 days. I noticed Cascade Designs is now selling one that is filled from the top...the whole top of it appears to fold open for filling. Anyone ever used one of these?

Joanie, how was the Everglades? Would sure make a nice winter trip. Checked into Okeefenokee in North Fl/South GA, but seemed like mostly day trips and short overnighters. One more question at the risk of exposing my ignorance... what are NOLS people??
