I've been backpacking for about 3 years and want to try something a little different this summer so I convinced 3 friends to let me take them to the BWCA. I've gotten a lot of great ideas from Beymer's book but still have some questions. For one, would my 5500 cu. in. backpack do the trick for my gear or would I need to rent one of those big green packs that i see in all the photos? Also, with all these options of where we could go it's hard to decide having not been in the area before. Does anyone have a "must see" trip that they would recommend for a 4-5 day venture. Last and definately not least, where would be a good place to get a couple of canoes close to the entry point? THANKS A LOT!
