Re: Quetico route suggestions

We were thinking of base camping, maybe from Lonely Lake. The thought was , 2 days in to Lonely, 3 days at the base camp, and 2 days out to Nym. Can this be done, or is it too much travel for 2 days? We are three adults, 40 years old, one will be a first-timer. Any fishing hints (what to use, what kind of fish are prevalent, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. I know no one is going to give up their favorite spot, but general info on whether the lakes have mostly pike or walleye would help with my tackle selection. We were thinking of fishing the area around Lonely- it looks like there are some interesting small lakes and ponds that are hard to get to. I don't mind bushwacking if it gets me to a lake that is seldom visited.
