Backpack rods

Hey everyone. Just thought I would pass on some good info. I have been to BWCA many times and consider myself fairly experienced with paddling, camping, and fishing. I always used to tie my "normal" fishing rods to my canoe with good results. Then I decided I would go to Cabella's and get a couple of those 4 & 5 piece breakdown rods with cases. Don't do it. Both broke in no time. They aren't made for 8 days of hard fishing--they're for the guy in New York who drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee because they look neat and who goes brook trout fishing for those little 7" fish once a year. Take 2 real 2-piece rods and a handfull of "topwater" Heddon Torpedoes (black is best) and you will have to use your camera so you can prove the fishing to your co-workers who went to Dizzy World instead of paradise.
