I read it again and had another good laugh. I would suggest that instead of a K-bar you find yourself a nice cavalry sabre. You could use it for camp chores and it would be a lot more handy if the unspeakable happened and a bear, or even a gang of bears, decided to turn your party into a gory statistic. I do like the ax idea, but my question is the need for axes for everybody? I am looking to buy a decent ax this year as the ax supplied by Cliff Wold has been sharpened to a state of uselessness. I hear those Hudson Bay axes are nice and with a little practice are weighted so they are pretty good for throwing. Any suggestions?
