I don't think that you're crazy, but you will find out what kind of relationship you have. Two weeks alone together is a lot of time, but well worth it. The lack of communication with the world around you is actually a nice change of pace. Quetico is amazing.

As for the water, I never actually went in. Splashing a little on my face was always enough for me. I'm not sure about the rain. We didn't have any, but that was a few years ago.

The bugs are probably going to be pretty non-existent. They love me though. I'll get 50 bites, while my husband gets 3. Just proves I'm much sweeer than he.

Bathroom tips : It's better than an outhouse! Just pick a scenic spot, where passersby won't notice you. And always bury the tp deep enough that it's not going to be dug up by some animal or visible by the next vistors. He chooses one side of camp, I get the other. That way, you won't dig up any surprises.
