Portage Description:
The portage landing is on the right side of the small creek which flows from Shell to Heritage. There is nothing remarkable about this portage.

Lake Description:
Heritage is a quiet lake since most traffic moves from Shell through Little Shell and on to Lynx, and any traffic which does come through Heritage is at the south end. There are some good-sized Northerns in the lake as well as a good population of walleye.
