Portage Description:
Easy portage with only 30 feet of elevation gain. The trail is smooth and easy to follow. The landing on the Lac La Croix side is difficult as it is sheer rock which can get slick, however the landing on Takucmich Lake is sandy.

Lake Description:
Scenic lake with high cliffs. There is a nice campsite on an island in eastern arm of lake. Have caught some nice smallmouths in the lake.
