Portage Description:
An easy level trail to walk. The Fairy lake side can be shallow and muddy in low water, the Gun Lake side is always good since it's in a deeper cove.

Lake Description:
Gun Lake is deep with good fishing for pike, smallmouth, and walleye. The campsites are varied in nature from exposed rock to woods. Loons seem to really like this lake.
