Portage Description:
The landing on Ensign is huge - a nice pebble beach. This portage seems to be highly maintained with anti-errosion measures purposefully placed there (unlike most of the portages I've been on).

Lake Description:
Beautiful clear water lake, easily a 15-18 ft secci disk reading on this one. I've heard some big smallmouth come out of here.
