Portage Description:
Level, well traveled. Doesn't really stand out in my mind, so it must not be bad. Called the "Elm Portage" on US Forest Service maps.

Known campsites: 5
Lake Description:

Portage actually is to a continuation of the Little Indian Sioux River, which continues ~1.5 miles to upper Pauness lake. Water is stained the typical BWCA red-brown, but reasonably clear.
