Portage Description: This is a portage to start your day with, not end it!  Portage starts on the same path as the Boulder-Cap portage, you just stay to the right rather than the left.  Difficulties lie in crossing the sliver of open water about 1/3 of the way along.  You need to snake down to the left side of the lake as you approach it from Boulder until you get to a spot where there's a washed out bank on the other side.  Go across on your canoe!  Trust me.  Head up the slope and look at all the blowdown.  Amazing.  Lake after portage: Ledge Known campsites: 1 Lake Description:  Small lake, very remote.  Pretty, but more of a passing-through pretty.
