Portage Description:
Water levels were low. The beaver ponds have catwalks over them about a mile into this hike. First part of the portage is well maintained only to be followed by some fairly technical terrain with a 72# hat on your head. No fun in the rain. Not for the meek or timid.
Lake after portage: Angleworm
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:
Tanic color, long and narrow. One great campsite about half way through the lake on the east. Fishing (Walleye) was decent a couple of years ago...just passed through this year. A LOT of hikers on the portage.
