Portage Description:
Very winding trail. Some maps say portage is 44 rods with Moosecamp landing in main lake. Not so when we went. Easy landing in shallow bay after 25 rods.

Lake Description:
Pretty, open lake. Camped at far west end. Extremely cozy campsite. Pretty much 1 tent only and log bench for two (only) in front of fire. Seems seldom used. Area surprisingly low-lying. Latrine path extremely rooty and tricky in dark. Clearing on opposite shore was blueberry bonanza! Have heard great fishing here but in post-frontal only got small northerns. Beavers loud at night. Creek to west was not navigable.
