Portage Description:
At the end of Jump Lake you paddle through a very rocky shallow area. At the portage there is not much space to lift the canoe, and it starts out with a climb. The stream is photogenic; we lunched at the Jump end of the portage and I photographed the gently flowing water. The trail isn't difficult once you are under way.

We took the first campsite after the portage and heard moose all evening and also at dawn. Never saw them!
