Portage Description:
The portage has a good trail, relatively free of rocks. It has a few steep ascents and descents. The uphill parts are rewarded with some beautiful views. An enjoyable portage.

Lake Description:
Virgin was decimated by the blowdown. The entire north shore was flattened and is in the process of rebirth.
