Portage Description:
For the first portage in five years, this was tuff. I doubled packed this one. I was for sure hurting and this was just the beginning of a 7 day trip. Right away you are going up hill over slippery rocks, when you get to the top, make sure you look back, there is a great view. There is not much swamp land in this one, just a lot of rocks. This seems like a lot longer then a 90 rod portage. Considering I wiped out at the end of this portage on a slippery rock, no injuries, just a bruised ego. Lots of moose tracks on this portage, this increases as you get closer to Vista.

Lake after portage: Ram (BW)

Lake Description:

Deep lake, I guest this is a trout lake. I did not catch anything though.
