Portage Description:
The Beymer book states this one gains 170' of elevation before dropping down to Steep Lake. The path was smooth, easy, and not very long, but you will notice a fairly steep uphill gain at start of portage. Probably a function of season and temperature, but steep lake is where we started to encounter black flies on this trip.
