Portage Description:
This is a nice level trail. Nice take-out and put-in areas. Be careful to locate the correct take-out on Panhandle. If you go on down to the end of the lake there is an old abandoned portage that can be easily mistaken for the portage. It is a nasty, overgrown trail that will get you to Pan, but you will not be happy campers. Take the new and delightful trail.
