Portage Description:
This is not an official portage. A ski trail leaves Slim along the SW shore heading west. The ski trail looks just like a regular portage. After about a half mile, a trail marker indicates the turn north to Keneu. Here's where the adventure begins as the trail is part water, part muskeg through which I had to drag the canoe. Five hours it took me to go from Slim on this non-portage that climbs 40 ft to Keneu. I rated it "never again" but I think I'd go back.

Good campsite on a N/S lying lake. Attractive little lake with a N portage to Hook. 27 ft deep on the north end.
