Portage Description:
The portage length is under reported on all maps & it's probably closer to 3/4 mile so I'll be conservative . Just as in going from Darky to Brent this portage offers every known obstacle. i.e. mud , rocks & rock gardens with steep grades along the way. In June 2,000 it was also poorly maintained with some deadfall & treacherous corduroy for good measure.

Lake Description:
Cone is a small, clear lake that is reported to have Lakers . It has something unusual for Quetico - some sandy shoreline complete with beaches.
