Portage Description:
This portage is far west of where it is marked on the Fisher map. Look on your map where the two lakes are the closest together in the west end of the bay. There is a decent trail with a steep grade down to the water on the William lake end.

Lake Description:
I was on William in early August last year. There is a nice camp halfway up the lake on the east side. It has a six foot high fireplace that you will see from the lake. Fishing was good even though it was August. Caught big Northern and Smallmouth right from camp. There is a good walleye reef not far from camp.
