Portage Description:
This is one bugger of a portage. The start is low and muddy (knee deep). After a number of switchbacks you must ascend a knoll, and then down to a marshy area traversing by way of downed timber (logs). The path is not cleared and canoes must be passed over trees and falldowns a number of times. You really have to do it to understand the portage. Bonus!! The fishing is just short of phenomenal.
